What are The Data Lab Community features and how do I use them?
The Data Lab Community has a number of features designed to help you make connections, develop and grow.

Home
The home page acts as your first stop in the community, and serves as a central hub for community discussions, updates, events, news and more, by pulling information from other elements of the community.
Profile
Your user profile helps other members learn about you and will help you make new connections.
Welcome
The starting point for members. Learn about The Data Lab's mission, values and guidelines, and walk through the first steps you should take in our community.
Live feed
Want to post an update or opportunity? The Live Feed is the place! The Live Feed also has a summary of some of the activity elsewhere on the platform (for example news, events and projects will also show up in the feed).
Forum
Want to ask a question, share a challenge or start a discussion? That's what the Forum is for!
Groups
We've created sub-groups for you to connect with groups of your peers. Groups have their own live feeds, so you can share information specific to the group.
Events
Discover and join events for the community and from our wider network. You can also post your own events via the Live Feed.
Jobs
Looking for a new role? Searching for your next big hire? Our jobs board is full of the latest data & AI roles, and community members can also post vacancies at their organisation.

Mentoring
Our mentoring programme allows members at earlier career stages to connect with those who more experience - to seek insight and guidance as they take the next steps in their career. Equally, the programme offer opportunities to potential mentors to develop their leadership and interpersonal skills, reflect on their own practices, and use their experience and expertise to support the development of others. Our programme acts as a matchmaking service between mentors and mentees, allowing mentees to choose from a selection of potential mentors, and mentors to choose a mentee based on their application.
